How to do a Balancing Tap?

Mindful Exercise

 What is mindfulness?

Is when you purposely bringing one’s attention in the present moment without evaluation. There is evidence that suggests engaging in mindfulness meditation may influence physical health.

The goal is to think and recognize what is stressing you, where you are feeling it in your body and see what you can do to help yourself. We cannot change others but we can change how react to it. It helps manage and reduce anxiety, stress, and worry. Obviously there are several types of stresses and traumas that may need the help of a medical practitioner but why not try this simple body scanning technique a few times to see if it this helps you. Don’t let your stress accumulate .We don’t want stress to accumulate. It is thought that some panicky feelings are a manifestation of an accumulation of stress and anxieties that we have not learned to deal with but that we ignore and store it away. Incorporating a leisure walk is helpful might be better than strenuous exercise.

For this exercise find a comfortable place and position. You may use an essential oil, music, work indoors or outdoors. You will scan your body starting from top and see if you can recognize where you feel stress, hurt or discomfort. You can spend as much time as you would like in each area. Stop at this first area and think a little bit more on your discomfort, is it tight, does it ache, is it cold how your clothing piece feels on that area. Ask yourself what happened today or this week that might have triggered or contributing to stress in this area of your body? See if you are able to identify what it is, if not it is ok Can you identify an emotion that maybe be affecting: mad happy, glad sad?

Solutions
Ask yourself is there anything you can do to help this discomfort. You may be surprised if the things you will come up with … maybe it’s about letting go of something, maybe you need a chiropractor, and maybe you need to eat better. What is your body telling you, what can you do to feel better?
